The story, process & work of Dusty Mike. 

Yo!

I go by Dusty Mike but friends and family call me Michael! I'm an artist based in Copenhagen and mainly known for my hand-painted footwear, clothing and original canvas paintings, among my audience. I'm heavily inspired by anime & manga which was a huge part of my childhood growing up. 

I've been drawing, painting and exploring the world of arts and crafts, since my early childhood and with a life-long passion for it, I've finally taken it a step further! Combining my passions with my interest for streetwear, I finally found a way to channel and share parts of my inner universe with the rest of the world. 

The process

Sometimes it begins as a sketch, a feeling, a character or simply an image I can't get out of my head. From there, I explore how that idea can be translated into a physical piece. Choosing the materials, colors and details to help bring it to life.  

Wether I'm working on a canvas, a pair of shoes or a piece of clothing, I aim for the finished work to feel like more than just an image. The details, textures and unexpected elements are what make each it's piece it's own.

 

My ideas and artworks are a reflection of how I experience the world, shaped by the things I love and the endless possibilities I discover on my life long journey, as an artist.

Everything is a canvas to me.
